Overall Walk-Through of Vessel
Before leaving the dock, it is important to walk about your vessel and make sure that nothing looks unusual. This is an easy way to become familiar with your vessel.
Check Dock Lines
As a result of the wet environment, dock lines may become loose or stretch. We check lines weekly to ensure that your boat is secure and not damaging other boats or running into the dock.
Start Engines
Engines that are left idol for long periods of time may develop gum and buildup. We offer to start and check your engines weekly to avoid this possibility.
Check Battery Fluids
The water in vessel batteries may slowly evaporate, we check and refill your battery monthly.
Check Strainers (A/C, Generator, Engine)
Strainers prevent debris from clogging the engine systems, we check and clean these weekly.
Check Bilge Pumps
The bilge pump prevents unwanted water from seeping into your vessel. A broken bilge pump could possible sink your vessel, to prevent this we check them weekly.
Check Navigation Lights
Broken lights and fuses could result in expensive fines, to prevent these, we check them monthly.
Check Fresh Water System
Fresh water left in your tank may develop a foul odor over time. To prevent this we run the system and replace the water as needed.
Check Waste System
Waste systems may develop an unpleasant odor if not flushed out properly, to prevent an odor we check the system weekly.
Check A/C & Heat System
We check this system weekly to make sure there is water coming out of the side when the system is on. If steam is not present, a problem may exist.
Check VHF/Stereo
The VHF/Stereo allows you to call the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) if you have an emergency on the water and stay aware of any pending weather. We check this monthly to ensure your safety while sailing.
